Eddie has competed against many local competitors and some of the best in the world, and had the opportunity to train with; Cleber Luciano, Randy Couture, Nate & Nick Diaz, Ricco Rodriquez, Robert Drysdale, Leandro Lo, Andre Galvao, Charles Cobrinha, Pablo Popovich, Maximus Auerlio, Marco Delima, Marcelo Garcia and many other elite top level professional fighters & Jiu-Jitsu competitors. Eddie is currently training for black belt 1st Dan in Judo under the School of Hard Knocks Judo club in The Woodlands. He continues to compete in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions, and has won numerous titles at tournaments. Eventually becoming an Academy owner & Instructor. Eddie received his BJJ Blue Belt from Professor Caique Elias in 2001, then went on to receive his Purple, Brown from Alvis Solis & finally BLACK BELT from Carlos Machado through the recommendation of Alvis. Carlos Machado is a world wide known Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner. He is a nephew of Jiu-Jitsu Grandmaster Helio Gracie. His main instructor throughout his life was his cousin Carlos Gracie, Jr. but he has also trained with Helio Gracie, Carlson Gracie, Rolls Gracie, Rickson Gracie, Crolin Gracie, Rillion Gracie and his 4 brothers, Rigan, Roger, Jean Jeaque, and John Machado. While in Brazil, he has successfully competed in several tournaments at state and national level. Carlos was promoted to Coral Belt (8th Degree) October, 2012. Eddie was in attendance.
